Hi,
Did you try using the ADO controls from VB6? (Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects) They should work with Access 2000 although I have never tried it.

I need to be able to use a data control on a form whose database name is a Access 9.0 database, all I get is unrecognised database format, the program worked ok with access97, can anyone please help?

You have to get a new Jet DLL. Data control you're using is still using Jet 3.5/3.51. Access2000 requires Jet 4.0. You can download it from microsoft web site. Sorry can't give you a link, I lost it somewhere, but I did it by searching their web site.
