    Forum Restrictions

VB Forums is for programming, so I thought, why there are no restriction for the chit chat and the World Events Forum.
I think there should be a 15 posts requirement to post in the World Events and 25 posts to make a new thread there.
Same goes for the chit chat 20 posts required to post and 30 to make a new thread.
Viewing the thread is possible with no requirements.

This idea came to me after seeing countless number of posts from people that haven’t posted a single post in the main forums. I think a member of VBforums first have to help some people or contribute something before he/she can earn the right to have fun (lol)(Not that they don’t helping people)

    This is my ¢2

And thus the spamming of main forums would begin.

True, but you have to consider these things

Only the other day i saw a member advertising some products for sale in the Classic VB forum, soon got banned and thread deleted. Think, with more of these the response time would be way slower

    Re: Forum Restrictions

We want the place to be both helpful, and fun. We don't want to put restrictions on either, any more than is absolutely necessitated.
