Honestly, I don't want to explain myself. But I'll attach an image here, which you must refrain from taking as the only reason.
I'll grant you this much: A major factor in using tables, for me at least, is because it's so flexible for me, contrary to what the article says. Then again, you can't expect the article to be unbiased.
