[RESOLVED] Linking To Search Page
How long does a searchid stay available. For instance, on a thread I had replied with a link to the search page where I had done a search, the link was like this:
http://www.vbforums.com/search.php?searchid=684917
How long would this link last? Since I dont see any search terms in the query string on the link, I assume this is only temporary, unless it somehow knows the search terms by that magical number hehe....

Re: Linking To Search Page
Few days at most I believe - I was curious about that myself some time ago.

Re: Linking To Search Page
Just post the querystring so its always fresh. All they have to do is click "Search"

Re: Linking To Search Page
Yes, its an exclusive "feature" of IE
Jk
You perform the desired search and then in the resulting hit list, where it shows the search criteria, you right click on the "Search" link and copy shortcut. Then paste into the reply box and disable automatic url parsing and type in your own url tags so it doesnt cut the link off from certain chars or such.
