    Resolved [RESOLVED] SPS 2003 with SQL 2005

    will i be able to install both sharepoint portal server 2003 and sql 2005 on the same server? should i install the SPS 2003 first or it doesn't matter which one would go first?

    fyi, yes! it is possible to install both within the same server, though you should be passing the minimum requirements...i have just tested it with a P4 2.6 Gig with 512 of RAM and it worked.

    I have installed first the SPS 2003 V2 (without the database engine) then the WSS SP2 before SPS SP2 because it requires WSS SP2 before installing SPS 2003 SP2.

    after that i have installed the SQL Server 2005.after that configure the SPS 2003 create database using SQL Server 2005.Then create a Portal.

    so that's it. I just have to run it for a month, see if its working great before migrating it to a bigger and better server!.
