    Exclamation

    I did not post http://forums.vb-world.net/showthrea...threadid=55120
    but my handle is there.

Either my password has been stolen and/or this is a bug with the new layout.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

That happened to me once too.

It was in the Chit Chat forum.

I called myself stupid for some reason .

But I never even said anything in that post.
I don't normally post a lot in Chit Chat..most of the threads are quite boring to me .

No offense to you people that love the boring subjects .

But anyways, there was a post in there of me calling myself stupid.

Why would I do a thing like that? I'm the smartest person alive!....well, after all them Biologists, Physists, Chemists, Doctors, Teachers, Bill Gates, all the above .

    ChimpFace9000,
I was the only one using my pc.

    geoff_xrx,
I don't know if there were more (damaging?) posts. I just happenned upon the ASP forum because of a reply I was working on in the Java forum about JSP.

    Matthew Gates,
I think the poster was trying a normal post and somehow security and caching got misdirected. So perhaps someone was trying to insult you, but there name got switched. That's the weird part, I was just posting about ASP. Did that post involve your name in the body?

Ask john to see if the IP address is the same in that thread as it is in this thread. Then youll know if someone was using your computer or not, and let us know too!

This issue arose because you both were using the same IP address, presumably because you are both on the same ISP. We were not running the latest vBulletin code at that time, so I have now updated the code. This problem will not recur.

Nope, I don't think he was offending me, since my name was mention in the post.

    It just had somethin' like:

    Thumbs up

That sounds like a good answer since my company develops Server Pages and users probably use the same proxy.

    Thanks for fixing this John.

    It was me

I am the one who posted that question. As soon as it was done it showed me as your handle, that is when I noticed I never logged in. I sent an email to the administrator explaining the situation but never got a reply.

I am using a major corporation's LAN to connect to the internet so I'm positive we are not sharing an IP, I'm also sure noone has used my computer and I didn't use yours. I have no idea why this has happed, but I woulnd't have done anything to get you booted.

It is possible that we work for the same "major corporation" and use the same proxy. Only John could confirm this through IP Logging. I would assume that we'd be in the same building/campus; unaware of the other's vb-world identity, and "Taking the Hill!" using this programming resource.

I haven't updated my "location", so it's possible.

    Possibly

That is very possible but unlikely. I work for a telco in Altamonte Florida. You mentioned your company makes ASP pages and I am the only ASP programmer (professional) in the building. If you are in the same building I am on the 5th floor, ask for Art when you get up here.

Nope. I'm at a telco in TX. Even if it's the same telco, I doubt we'd use the same proxy.
