[RESOLVED] Access 2K3 Textbox vbCrLf..??

I have some textboxes on a form.. the data comes from a table...
the field (ADDRESS) has a vbcrfl in it that is not being seen by the textbox??

if I copy/paste the data from the textbox to notepad I get the CrLf.. but in access it squashes the 2 lines together?

Example:

In Access I see this:

1000 West Orange
AveAnaheim, CA 12345 <<<NOTE: It word wraps due to the size...

in notepad...

1000 West Orange Ave
Anaheim, CA 12345


I dont see a multiline property? and the scrollbar shows....????

and.. get this.. its IN there!??

msgbox instr(Form_frmMain.ADDRESS,vbcrlf) = 21

and.. if I put the cursor in the spot where it should be then add an "ENTER" to it.. it does this:

1000 West Orange Ave

Anaheim, CA 12345

Set the "Enter Key Behavior" property to - "New Line in Field" and that is the equilivalent to a VB6 multiline textbox. If its left at "Default" it will tab to the next control in the tab order when you press the enter key.

I already have it set to that... doesnt make any differencethis is driving me crazy! lol

Try it on a new textbox as it works fine for me also on 2003.

after many attempt and test... I finally wrote a function to show me what was in each field... the ones with problems had only vbLF in them... did a replace... all good now (except for a few where there is a vbCrLf after the street number... not sure how I managed that lol) thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
