If you have Visio you can do a reverse engineering on it (hopefully) and get a schematic of all objects and data types. Then you can redesign in 2003 similarily.

Re: Can anyone open this MS access 1.x file for me
Can you connect to it using DAO/ADO and retrieve the data then? If you can connect using DAO/ADO you can open the db schema and get most of the structure that way for duplication in 2003.

Hopefully DAO/ADO can still let you connect to it. Its not corrupt or damaged is it?

Re: Can anyone open this MS access 1.x file for me
Documentation on MSDN only goes bak to Access 95.
I couldnt even find it on google. IU was thinking that maybe it would be dirt cheap to buy the software or a version like 2-3.0 so you can convert it up or at least open it.

Re: Can anyone open this MS access 1.x file for me
Make a backup copy and try to convert it first with 2005 and see how that goes.

Re: Can anyone open this MS access 1.x file for me
I found this...
It's not possible to do a direct conversion of forms and
reports from 1 to 11. You need to use 2, 7, or 8 (2, 95, 97)
to convert to 2, 7, or 8 first, then convert from 2,7,8 to
version 11.
However, you can convert data from 1 without an intermediate
version.
I couldnt find 1 or 2 so I will look for 95 or 97 now.
