    Advice on Quadro FX

We are going to buy a new Dell workstation (precision 470 desktop) for media editing (mostly with adobe premier and 3ds max). Dell recommends the quadro fx 1400 (128 MB) with this system but someone suggested to pay the extra 370 € for the quadro fx 3450 (256 MB). Is there any significant difference between the 2 cards for our purposes (except the slightly better speed of 3450).
    Thanks in advance.

It will make a huge difference in 3D Max for sure. It will allow for more polygons in a scene you are working in the viewports on before it starts to get sluggish. If you are doing some serious work in 3ds, Id certainly recommend it.
