Go see this movie!!!!!!!! It is awesome!!!!
Unless you are a Star Trek uber fanboy who is pissed off that Joss Whedon puts STORY before ships battles and aliens , you will love it.

Maybe. Can you accept no aliens and actual character development and story development?
Can you accept the future isnt necessarily lasers and peaceful exploration? lol

I would say as long as you go in expecting some original sci-fi and not a star trek copy. you will enjoy it.

I just can't wait for all the comment after the movie is released.....

Valley - the DVD set with all the episodes is available in the UK - I kow cause I just bought it for my brother in Ireland. Go check it out but be prepared to lose a weekend as you're goign to want to watch every episode back to back. Yes - its that good.

I'm really hoping that the Sci-fi Channel will pick it up and replace SG-1 with it. although i hate to see SG-1 go at least it would get replace by something good.

SG1 is about the crappiest series I've seen, I'd rather just watch McGyver, I might learn something ( )

Don't want to spend that kind of money on a DVD boxset (around £35 which works out at about $60). Bit too expensive

Theres nothing wrong with SG-1. Its got a nice mix of Action, Humour, and Sci-fi.
Jayne's World = One of my favourite Firefly episodes. So funny.

Re: Serenity
Movie was good. But I found it a bit disappointing. The main problem came down to too many characters for a movie. You can't dedicate any time to each character. So Wash, Zoe, Kaylee, and Jayne got a little ignored.

I wonder if there was a new series if Whedon would bring back Wash in Whedonesque fashion. People just dont stay dead in Whedons shows.

If you haven't seen the show, she was the ships mechanic, and was quite cute even with engine grease all over her face. (maybe even more so)

There weren't too many women on that ship that were not dream women (or women i don't mind dreaming about). I think river would be the only exception and that's only cause she was a little phsychotic. lol
