I didn't want to ruin the acronym thread by reminiscing my childhood, but ever since Tiswas was pulled, and Sally James became frumpier, I feel much is missing from my life.

Favourite TV/objects from 70s childhoods please...

Full marks to those who know what a Tomahawk was, and what the Swap Shop number was...

A Tomahawk was a particularly crap bike. The swapshop number was something like 01 811 8055 but I DID NOT grow up in the 70s. It was the 80s for me - hair gel, padded shoulders, naff thin leather ties, mullets - ah those were the days.
That's Mr Mullet to you, you mulletless wonder.

    Feigns shock

You see, I reckon that number has been burned into the brains of all kids from 25 to 35.

I was more of a grifter man myself. As for the 80s, that when acne started....

Me, I had a Commando. It weighed 1.5 tons and had wheels which buckled when they went over cigarette butts but at least it had a proper seat.

ah, but could you change gear like a motorbike.

Or tuck the plastic mudguard underneath the front wheel to make a motorbike sound...

Not that is was into motorbikes or anything...

My late 70's memories would probably....

    a) Get me banned from this site
    b) Get me arrested
    c) Make me lose my security clearance
    d) All of the above

    Definitely fun though!

    Bad short term memory!

At my age, the short term memory is not reliable, so I do not remember anything from the seventies.

Long term loss of short term memory....sign of having a good time....not old age!

For me the seventies are long term memories though unfortunately!
