The [post] tag
Didn't it create a showpost.php link before? I just noticed that the behaviour seems to have changed to link to the thread, with the anchor set to the post you want. Since that appears to be the default vbulletin behaviour, I assume it must the showpost.php link must have been a custom thing we had before the upgrade, unless my memory's just kaput and it was like this all along. If it indeed was the way I think it was, could we have it back?

Re: The [post] tag
I do not believe it was a custom hack. Can anyone verify how it used to work?

Re: The [post] tag
This feature has always used vBulletin defaults. We did nothing custom to it that I am aware of.

Re: The [post] tag
the link you posted is a link to showpost.php, it opens just that one post.
http://www.vbforums.com/showpost.php?p=2349551
If I use the [post] tag, it makes a link to showthread.php, with the anchor set to the post you want, e.g.
http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=386247#post2349551
What I thought it used to do was the former.

Oh ok. I just usually copy the shortcut link from the postcount # link.

It did used to, you are not mad. I guess the default changed in one of the minor version updates to the VB software, i noticed the change soon after an upgrade in the summer of last year.
Suits me fine though, I prefer it linking to the thread.
