    IE6 messes with download manager...

    i have upgraded my IE to IE6.. but it messes with my download manager, which is getright, in such a way that when i download a video it would be opened or vieved on media player.. and not being captured by the download manager for downloading...

    it does great with my IE5..

    what would i do?..

    After your in media player, try going to file --> save as... and save the file.. sometimes it'll work if you have the right temporary files.

    or right click the video link before you download it, choose "save target as"

    That should work too, if that also passes the download manager and the save as.. didn't work, try a new download manager.

    What has happened most probably is that as you've installed IE6, it has unregistered the handles for getright to bind to IE, reinstalling GetRight should fix the problem, because it certainly works with it. If that fails, try upgrading to the latest version of GetRight.

    As already stated, the alternative is to right-click the file and pick Save Target As... to force it to download the file.
    I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
