Keep getting loged out....

When i am trying to post once i click on the submit i get loged out

I just found out it only log me out when i try posting somthing in the [Highlight=VB] tag.


P.S: why did the [Highlight=VB] tags stop working?

There was an upgrade related to the hacking of our site last week. Anytime the software is upgraded most changes that we have made have to be redone. The vbcode tags are one of them. You can see why we don't like to change the software.

I've only had to log in this morning, and then again to view the attachment page. I've shut down, also.

so do i, it seems like every time i open a new post in a new browser i get loged out.....this is the first time ever happend...except for the few months ago update........

vBulletin should make an update patch to patch the update file to patch to the server...

It is because the regular CODE tag is not a hack but a feauture...the vbcode tag is a hack Brad added, like the Thread resolve hack me and VIsual made...

I don't have the knowledge to be more specific. I didn't have to delete any cookies this time but the last time something like this happened I was told to delete my cookies and it fixed the problem when I deleted all of them.

There is a funny little link in the VB FAQ that deletes the VBF cookies - I did that - but it did not work...

If I go into VBF from IE directly and LOG IN - I can surf around VBF and it stays logged in.

If I click on a link in an e-mail notification and LOG IN - I surf and get logged out on the first jump.

Things are not right here - something buggy going on - I'll wait till the powers that be sort it out further...

I assume that someone is working on them but I have no idea when they will be fixed.

it looks like that the vbforums website have changed the key. I have cookies manger software that my friend build it blocks cookies that i don't want ....changed cookie = blocked....it works fine now

Do you have the "Remember Me" checkbox checked when you log in?

I corrected my workstation by deleting the thousands (literally) of cookies related to VBFORUM...

I still have the problem on my laptop - but have yet to verify that I cleaned up cookies properly...

Hack - Yes I did

Steve - I couldn't bring myself to wipe out all my cookies so I went through and found the vbforum.com cookie and deleted it. So far it seems to be remembering me

phpBB seems much more advanced in this area than vBulletin: I've been keeping my boards uptodate despite the fact I have tons of customizations, some of them major and some made all by myself. EasyMOD is love.

I corrected my workstation several days ago by hand-deleting the VBFORUM cookies...

My laptop did not get corrected using this same method - I was forced to delete all the cookies today - on the laptop - and now the laptop is remembering my logon.

I know that doesn't really help you - sorry...

Maybe I have cookies I haven't found yet. I generally ignore them, so I may well have missed something. I searched for cookies folders, and deleted the contents of the one I found. I don't think I found more than one, though.

Anywhere else I should look?

If you go to your Control Panel and click Internet Options you can delete all your cooies from there, including Offline content too. Make sure all your browser windows are closed first.

Yep, that worked for me. Deleted all cookies and all offline content.
