    All announcements have a time limit

    For example "Forum Software Updates" will show from 02-01-2006 to 02-07-2006.
    If you open the announcement you see the time limit at the top.

    [can'o worms] I think the ads take up way more real estate than the announcements [/can]

    The announcements are the same size as a thread and there is only 2 days left for the Software Upgrade announcement.

    First I don't see how " Before you post...." could even be an "Announcement" at all...
    Second thing is that "time limit" isn't what I'm asking - I don't want to see any of it at all so I'm suggesting that it could nice to have an option to hide them (just like "Posting Rules"), that's all.
