Referrals
When I view my profile, I see "Referrals: 2"
What is that ? what does it mean ?

They have to fill in the sign-up form with your name in the referral box. I too have 2 referrals.

Aha, I got it now...
I did refer vbforums to couple of ppl in the past...
It would be nice if I could know who reffered me when they joined

I was thinking the exact same thing.
I know one of my referrals never posted, they lost there connection about 2 days after registereing. Cloftefer i think.

You know what... when people join and they put my name in the refferal, their name should automatically go in my Buddy list
That would make sence... right ?

I don't remember giving them my user name when I told them about vbforums...

The referral link is something like www.vbforums.com/?referrerid=<userid>.
Anyone who registers with a referrerid parameter on the address increments the referral count of that user.

To be aboslutetly 100% correct, it looks like this:

if your name is NoteMe. Refferals is not used for anything on VBF...so high or low referal count does not matter here at all. I think most referal counts here on VBF like my own is triggered by bots finding the link. I have at least not refered anyone to this site with my link on purpose.
