    background music + Columns

hoping someone can help, here's my problems

i have site with 2 columns

top.html (has a bunch of links
    center.html

now when a linked is clicked the background music will still play. I put the code for the background music in center.html and for example if i click a link from the top of the page it will target to the center column but still play the music. I just want the music to play on the opening page. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong...(but you guys understand what i'm trying to say :P )

I don't have the answer to your question, but I do have a suggestion for you.

Scrap the background music. NOBODY likes background music. Or at lease everyone I have ever discussed it with has stated that they thought it was very annoying and a sure sign of an unprofessional Web site.

Hope you're not using frames, also not very neat design. I suggest <div> tags and CSS to create layout. Don't use frames or tables.

And yes, background music or sounds of any sort are HORRIBLE.

If you're going to have background on your page, please make sure you make the site entirely in frames, use only pink and yellow as the primary colors, have animated GIFs as the background of each page, and don't forget the obligatory <MARQUEE> and <BLINK> tags at random locations throughout the pages.
