ASP.NET 2.0 Web Parts Framework
Hi y'll
Is the ASP.NET 2.0 Web Parts Framework part of Visual Studio 2005 Professional edition..? Bcos I can see Web Parts controls when I try to create a website project.
Or I need to install the ASP.NET 2.0 Web Parts Framework seperately..?
Does it just work on sharepoint servers or normal XP Development can also take advantage of the functionality..?
Cheers

Yes, its in both the Standard & Professional Versions. You will will have to have the 2.0 Framework installed on the server where you are deploying. I just finished a class in which the web parts were an assignment. We didn't need a sharepoint server, just the 2.0 Framework.
