Yea
I have that books, it owns badly. For the First chapters it teaches you bitblt, then mostly DX7, theres some DX8 towards the end. But I don't think it's enough.

Well then. There IS a book about DX 7.

Ahha...crap...I have read that book....and it teaches you all you need to know about DX7....no complains there....and it is true that you will learn about BitBlt first...but that is only so you can understand the rest later.....there is not much about DX 8 in it at all...and not very much on D3D. So buy that book if you want to learn DX7...

And BTW the book on the right, the blue one, will teach you all you want to know about D3D... Got that one too...
