Yep, a "RW" denotes a re-writable disc so it should allow you to delete files without losing space on the disc. Just to note you can also delete files from a CD-R but you cannot reclaim the space used up to originally write to the disc.

Most of the CD writer softwares have an option to erase RWs.If your using nero, then under Extras there is an erase CD option.

Re: files from cd-rw
Windows XP itself has an option to erase CD-RW's which can be found by right clicking on the disc

How long do you give them before Nero takes M$ to court for monopolising?
M% keep doing this don't they? They are told off time and again not to include stuff in XP that is against the competition laws.

Yes, but come to think of it, you would ***** like a little baby if it wasn't included wouldn't you ? I'd hate to buy extra software just to erase a CD... Or, buy extra software to play music etc.
Its a case of, if you want it, keep it, otherwise try and remove it, or use an alternate method.
