Microsoft Office Template and Media Control
I want to distribute Powerpoint templates to my website visitors the way Microsoft does it on their site--click download and the template opens in Powerpoint.
I think this is done with an activex control--is this a relatively simple task to accomplish? Could a determined novice do it with some blood and sweat?
Thank you.

No. Lots of blood, lots of sweat, and a river of tears.
Nobody knows what software they want until after you've delivered what they originally asked for.
