    Question Compact frame work

    Does the compact frame came with the visual basic.net standard edition?

    I want to write some application for Pocket PC. Seem that I will need the compact frame work.

    The compact framework is free and available for download from Microsoft's site. You can download both the 1.1 and 2.0 versions (2.0 has higher performance and lower memory usage).

    As for developing them, if you didn't get the SmartDevice Application template in VS, then you'll need Pro or higher I think.

    I was hoping the Express editions of 2005 would have them but, unfortunately, they don't.
