Looking for a laptop
Hi!
I'm looking for a new laptop computer. I would need some help, since I am not familiar with laptop (nerver had one). I need a powerful but not so expensive computer. I usually work with
Macromedia (Flash MX 2004, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Director)
Adobe (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS
Visual Studio (.NET)
I need a 17inch screen. I am looking for a DELL notebook.
Do you think this is a powerful one??
Intel® CoreTM Duo Processor T2500 (2GHz, 2MB Cache, 667MHz FSB) with Intel CentrinoTM Mobile Technology
Does anyone have any suggestion!?!? thank you!

Re: Looking for a laptop
I just bought a new one <1 month ago (notice the operator I used ). I never had an HP or an AMD before, but I love it. This by far the nicest computer I've ever owned:
HP dv8000z
I beefed it up a little with the Turion ML-40 and 1 stick of 1024mb (which they dont offer anymore for some reason?). I love it though.

When I finished building that one, it was 2k~
They had alot more options, I'm not sure why it was stripped.

Re: Looking for a laptop
As far as buying online, I haven't had a problem yet. Not to say the system is flawless, but it's alot easier then having some pimply-faced CompUSA sales rep trying to answer your questions with their website.

Re: Looking for a laptop
For my money I'd go with a customized Compaq R4000. It's onlt a 15.4" display, but it's widescreen so it looks bigger.

Re: Looking for a laptop
Regarding that HP laptop - I got my gf one of those, but of the previous generation. I have been very tempted to swap my dell for it, but now she's partial to it. It's been a great piece of equipment so far.
