A few clients have had problems with Google Earth, and I don't need most of the pack. I've heard good things about Google Desktop, but can't really find a need for it.
Maybe some others will comment.

if you dont need something in the pack, you dont have to get it.
you can add/remove programs from the pack that are in the programs list.

hey thanx i jus downloaded lavasoft Ad-Aware from the pack. i already have google earth and like dglienna even i dont feel the need for other softwares.

I don't see how any of those are useful. Google Desktop, maybe, a little.
Sometimes I think google is riding along a hype wave, rather than an innovation wave.
