Which Motherboard? [resolved]
I want to build a computer but dont know which Motherboard I should go with. I need something that will be pretty powerful for gaming. I would like something that is at least 3ghz, with 4-8ghz of ram. What motherboard would you guys recommend? What is good out there? I would probably like to go with a Intel D chip. What would you guys reommend.
I am thinking of going with any of the following motherboards.
ABIT NI8 SLI & P4 571 3.8Ghz
Abit Fatal1ty AA8XE Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard and Intel Pentium 4 561 3.60GHz Processor
Asus P5WD2 Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard / Audio / PCI Express / Gigabit LAN / USB 2.0 / Serial ATA / RAID w/ Pentium D 840 3.2GHz

Re: Which Motherboard?
If you want power and speed go for something like this:
- A quad pumped Front Side Bus (FSB), this is the data channel between the processor and the system memory. You'll want a speed of 800Mhz
- If you are looking at a Pentium motherboard get one which supports a dual core porcessor.
- PCI Express and a PCI Express Graphics card.
Little things like ample RAM, a fast GPU and a 10,000RPM hard disk make a big difference to speed too.

I don't see how you can beat the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe.

Re: Which Motherboard?
Lately the best motherboards are definitealy made by Asus and DFI.
If you go Asus, make sure its a Deluxe model (more features, etc)
If you go DFI, just make sure you research their motherboards properly, some outperform others.
