I'm honored to be on such a list! And to think I was just a lowly mainframe BASIC programmer 5 years ago

Re: MVP award!
Congratulations everyone - it just goes to show that you are worth a lot more than all the other posters in this thread. So, wholly in the fame and fortune, brag about it and ridicule other members not fortunate enough to have MVP status.
Btw, the only reason I'm not an MVP is because I was not nominated and chosen by Microsoft. This proves that you must stand out even more than a green, radioactive pathogen from mendhaks left nostril to get it.
congrats

Looks like I'm getting Visual Studio Pro. Seemed like a trick question. TechNet is free to VS owners.

Don't do that - get TEAM STUDIO - it's got all the features of the other plus the TEAM products as well...
I made that mistake and it's being changed now...

Re: MVP award!
But the thing is that if you dont get the award next year then you have to pay the renew price on TS instead of Pro. Big $$ difference.

I looked it over, and if I need it, I can always upgrade, and get people to kick in for the difference in price.

It's all about playing with the new toys - next year will take care of next year all by itself

Re: MVP award!
Hows that as you need to continure being an MVP and being nominated each year in order to remain active. What if you dont win next year? Then its a heafty price to pay unless you can renew and downgrade to Pro at that time?

Re: MVP award!
Just like I said - next year will take care of itself...
I had MSDN 5 years ago - then switched to ACTION PACK - now I've got a customer that can afford to buy software for me - now I've got MSDN again for free...
Who knows what will happen next year? But I'm sure it will be exactly what I need...

True, I plan on becoming rich this year so I opted for the TS.
