    can't set my recordsource

    hey i'm trying to connect my datacontrol to an access db and when i try to set the recordsource it gives unrecognized database format and the path to the .mdb i'm using vb 6 and i had patched it about 4 yrs ago but i had to redo my computer and haven't installed vb until now and don't remember what i did and microsoft only leads me to visual studio. thanks for any help

    How are you connecting to he db, ADO DAO, etc? Were you using a DSN to connect in the past?

    Welcome to the forums.

    After installing VB, did you also install the latest MDAC?

    naw i'm just using jet, and naw i haven't up dated vb either.i was gonna try updating but they wanted me to update to xp sp2 and i've heard bad things about it. although i may have to.
