Putting DVDs on my iPod... Legally
Hi all,
Don't worry I bought this DVD with my own money so there is no piracy acts here. But how do I take a DVD disk of a concert of Tenacious D... and put it onto my iPod??

Wouldnt you convert the dvd to a mpeg or something and then transfer it to your ipod. Roxio EZ CD Creator can do that as well as most other newer versions of CD/DVD burning software.

DVDShrink can be used to rip an encrypted DVD... as for making it playable on a Video iPod... thats another kettle of fish. :\

Well I cannot find Roxio CD creator, and I have DVD shrink but that won't work, also I have Nero, but that won't convert the DVD to a mpeg.
Does anyone have a program site to download a DVD converter?

You can see if the trial version works with partial movies, and then pay $25 for the full version. Doesn't seem too much to pay. The first choice was $99

Have you made sure the mpeg file meets all requirements? MPEG1/MPEG2, with or without interlace, audioformat. etc.

How would I find out/make the mpegs meet requirements?

See this link at a DV forum...
