Isnt it a bit too wide? You could just link to it now that you have uploaded it like I do with my Gangsta Yoda smilie.

It takes up the space of 2 smilies but its also a push for drinking which is not really appropriate for a family forum.

There is no evidence that it even relates to beer. It could be Root Beer or soda in them mugs. Mugs aren't always used for beer ya know.

And I find these smilies to be even better:

And the Worship smilie doesn't have to be drawn on the side with the others, considering its size. We can say : pwned:

Also, the :bump: smilie was pretty awesome too.

The lol smilie should be replaced with this:

BTW, fyi most of what you call "family forums" have it.

What is the "family forum" anyway ? A place where people discuss where they buy dipers and stuff?

probably, the list in which they are listed, do not allow such big images?!?!

or maybe to avoid slowing down of forum, which was a major issue few days back, VBF may not want to include them.

    even i am confused now!

    Re: The  smilie

Sounds like someone is grouchy this morning. Didnt get everything you wanted for Xmas?

I'm just saying that its a large smilie and "seems" to promote drinking but the final decision is up to Martin. Just being honest here (no hard feelings) but I doubt he will go for it as its not that easy to get a smilie added or we would have a long list of selections already.

I love that bumpy, not sure about LOL but it definitely better than what we have here - can't even see the "laughing" part - color is too dark and it looks awful. Some people have absolutely no taste.

Have Cander and Noteme put them in their next update. They just link to them anyways, but everyone else could use them easily.

    My favourite LOL smiley -->

I like the  one. And Rob, compared to almost any other large forum, our smiley list is piddly

When it was last used is irrelevant. We are not getting rid of the duck. It symbolizes a former member who is no longer with us.

With all do respect Rob but it's not conservative - it's a tasteless green thing if you ask me.
And there is no push - there is a need for it - how many times people reply with simple "Cheers". Would that be "promote drinking" too?

    Re: The  smilie

Removing smilies will break any posts that have used it. By break, I mean the smilie text tag would display instead of the smilie. As such, we don't really want to remove a smilie once it is used.

As to adding new smilies. We can consider it, however, any smilie submitted must be freely available for commercial use. If you submit a smilie to be used, then you *must* have the rights to submit it and you *must* give us full rights to use it. We are using it on a commercial site (this one), so it can't be a smilie from one of the "get x-bazillion free smilies" sites that restrict the free usage to personal use.

Having said that, what smilies are -you- submitting and suggesting?

That sample  smilie wasn't done by me and the point for this thread was to find out if you're willing to add new at all. If you are then I will just go ahead and make one or we can create a little contest and let the guys choose one. But thanks for your feedback - it definitely sounds on the positive note.

    Cheers.
