Burning DVD issue
Are there any APIs that can be used for burning DVDs.

Thanks a ton buddy. but i needed something from micorosft nothing else.. would do..
This is the catch.. else i cud have used 3rd party api's easily.. thanks any ways...

There is nothing from MS. XP has IMAPI but that burns only CDs. You would have to do what flamed lib (pscode.com) did and use deviceIOControl to access the DVD, I think flamed lib is CD-Only as well. It would take a very very long time to figure it all out.
I think DVD-RAM discs can work just like a floppy (packet writing without a driver), maybe that is an option...

I'm so glad you said that because MSDN was the first place I looked and got nothing. Then I found the link I posted using Google.
At this point in time, DVD technology is still new so I don't think there is a whole lot out there. As you mentioned on your post, when I was doing my searchs I found a bunch of stuff for CD, but I have a feeling it probably won't work for DVD.

I think i wud encourage my pl to go in for a 3rd party api in that case.
