Re: Speed Dating
Never done it, but i've heard about it. Kind of like musical chairs. You talk to someone for a few minutes, a bell rings, and you rotate to the next person. You end up talking to everybody, before deciding who you'd like to get to know a little better.

Sounds like the perfect way to get rejected by more women in a night than in a lifetime.

Re: Speed Dating
Surely that's only true if you expire halfway through, and nobody notices.
And your chances don't subsequently improve.

Define: Speed Dating
All women are given tables. Men sit at the tables and try and make the woman opposite fall madly in love with him. If the woman doesn't like him she stabs him in the eye with a pen. When the bell rings everyone picks up their table and they all beat each other to death.
Hell, I'd give that a go

Re: Speed Dating
Speed dating is when you meet loads of people and then choose someone you like. If they choose you as well you go out on a date.
I think thats it anyway.
Either that or its when you take your girlfriend on bank job

At the risk of sounding sad I've been to two speed dating events in Cardiff. It is a great laugh and you will be very surprised when you see the quality of girls that do it. They are generally very VERY nice
Normally you'll be given a scorecard and a name-tag for your name and number (not phone number). You mark the person you date with a Yes (want to meet them again), No (Don't want to see them again) or Maybe (would consider it). At the end the scorecards are handed back to the organisers. THEY will then give you the details of any matches.
e.g.
You both say yes - you both get each others email address/phone number
you say yes she says maybe - only she gets your details, but you know someone said mabe but not who (and vice versa obviously)
you both say maybe - same as if you both said yes
you say no - neither gets the others details, but you know what she said about you (yes, no, maybe)
The success rate is usually pretty good. I usually end up with around two or three yes's and a few maybes and a few no's. Been on dates with some stunning girls from speed dating
The advantage is that if there is someone you REALLY don't get on with you only have to talk for 5 minutes, then move on. But if you meet someone you do get on with the time will fly by and you'll know you're interested.
Good luck
