Adding components & License info [RESOLVED]

Wotcha, folks.

I'm trying to add some sort of FTP / HTTP transfer to my project with the WINSOCK or INET components.

However, whenever I try to actually add them, I get the error message:

'License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment.'

I don't undertstand. I'm a using a legal copy!

Any pointers much appreciated.

Have you been able to use them in the past, or have you never been able to use them?

The license files are included on the source VB CD and should have been installed on your machine when you installed VB. You might want to consider doing a reinstall.

BTW: What VB service pack are you using?

What version of VB6 are do you have (Professional or Enterprise?)

Bingo...I don't believe those controls are supported in the Learning edition.

My suggestion would be to look at the examples here on the various Internet API calls. There is some FTP example code that may help you out.
