My advice would be to just let it go.

Martin - I was just venting - I've got 5 year old twin boys - I know when to count to 10 and let it go
I actually thought it was more humorous then offensive...

Hack - thanks!
You know I enjoy the "banter" of other developers challenging each other on this forum the most. If we all felt one way then we wouldn't need the dozens of dedicated people posting solutions - some similar and some very different!
I think that was the first time someone told me to get out of there thread - now - leave!

szl - I know how you feel, I got downrated this week because someone wasn't clear about their situation and they felt I gave bad advice that "wasted computer space." I won't name names though.
Hack - does that go for everyone!? I'm a week into not smoking and ready to go nuts.

I think the "up-rep" you gave me today helped me from blowing through the roof with that posters comment!
Thanks for that!

Only if another member is making you crazy. I'd rather have you yelling at me in a PM then them on the open forum.
Congrats on the smoking thing by the way.

You might have felt differently if he had 20 posts to his name.
I saw his response, and came "this close" to nixing his post, on account of his "user-error", but decided against it.

Odds are, he's a kid who's not just new to VBForums, but new to forums, period. You can't always solve someones entire programming problem in one post. It will sometimes take many posts from many people. He'll grow up eventually.

Re: Sometimes you just want to reach out and slap...
wow. He was a bit short with people trying to help him. That doesn't get your questions answered over the long haul -- especially when they were giving more than he was asking for.....
I couldn't resist and had to post into the thread since nobody had actually answered his *real* question.

Alot more sleep and a little less coffee might go along way to sort this highly strung problem out I think..

Re: Sometimes you just want to reach out and slap...
After reading that, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Laugh at the "Keystone Cop" like adventure that was.... or to cry that this represents a growing trend I've seen in the newer/younger crop of developers out on the horizon.
Kudos to those who did their best to hang in there.... I would have unsubscribed to the thread long before the end.

Re: Sometimes you just want to reach out and slap...
your posts , just to comment not to help
you have inceased the following
1- host bandwidth
2- host space
3- post replies
and wasted my time
why is that?
no offense.
