[RESOLVED] Belkin Wirless Problems.
Ok, so about a year ago (i'm out of warranty ) i bought a Belkin 54g Wireless Network card, with a model number of F5D7000uk, the problem is, whilst running XP home it often drops the connection to my wireless router.
I know the router isn't the problem as my Cable & Wireless USB stick works in my other PC, which can connect perfectly.
Anyone had any experience with this ?

Did you try and update the drivers?
Are you using Windows to control it or the software?
I'm having a similar problem with my wireless card (Netgear), where it'll say its connected to my neighbors. Then after like an hour, I can't surf (he has broadband). But, the thing is that it says its still connected.

Funny i couldn't find the drivers on their darned website, and now, low and behold i'm trying the latest drivers for my Revision 3 card (they do 4 versions, lol)
Ok, so imma try these (24mb d/l) and get back to this thread with whether or not the problem is solved.

Re: Belkin Wirless Problems.
I have problems occasionally from interference, and noticed that Window tries to find a WIFI signal about every 3 minutes. I came up with these batch files that turn off and on the service responsible. Once you have a signal, turn it off, and before you log off, turn it back on.

Nope, turns out my drivers are up-to-date and still i get disconnected...
The router is also by Belkin, so they should in theory work hand in hand, lol.

dglienna, that seems to work...
Gonna give it a trial run.
Do you know if it will affect hibernation ? for example when i turn back on after hibernation will i have to manually connect to my network if i leave the service off ?
EDIT: Not too bothered about Hibernation now, i'll just leave the windows service off, Belkin has their own utility for WiFi management. Its loaded when windows starts, so i'll use that instaed. consider it resolved

Re: [RESOLVED] Belkin Wirless Problems.
I turn it back on when I hibernate, so it connects automatically. It's very rare that I have to use it more than a couple hours at a time.

My D-Link card connects to some other network as well instead of the NETGEAR router I have in my apartment. Its annoying, but the other network comes on at full-strength just like the one setup in my apartment.
