? advantage of php over java & .net

please tell me what is the advantage of php over .net and java.why most of the medium companys use php and MNCs use java or .net

Use php for speed and stability! All the rest they say just isn't true. If you don't expect 100ths of visitors and you are a good C# or VB programmer, don't hesitate a second and do it in .NET !

It's just too bad that speed is a very important aspects of a website. That's why I make all my websites in php. And also that's why this forum runs on php . Also notice it's easier to find a PHP host than a .NET host. Unless you are willing to pay for it. But then again, ... you might have some problems with the speed.

If .NET was as reliable as PHP I would program eveything in .NET !!! I program a lot in PHP and I'm really irritated by its messy non-organised buggy framework. When programming in PHP you can feel they only just set their first steps in Object oriented programming. Compare that with .NET or Java and it's an easy decision.

I think another big reason in the succes of PHP is its linux background. This makes PHP untouchable. Whenever you say something about php there's some nerdy alternative hippie comming from behind the corner saying: "at least we are freeeeeeeeeeee, man !!! ". I hate those lllllinux llllllosers. It's just impossible to have a discussion with them. And I'm a reasonable person I think. The other day I was working on a project with a linux guy, and when we had made our analysis and were about to start the project he told me he hated object oriented programming. ... Allthough they claim to know everything about everything this is the proof that they are still running 40 years behind on some fields ! I rest my case.
