Re: Users with grep rep indicators
Oh how glad I am to be able to answer this one for you. Remember that big thread we worked on together, the Reputation FAQ thread?
It means that those two members have 0 Rep points so they Gems are Gray.
See the "Reps and Ratings" link in my signature for all the details on Reps.
Ps, whats a "grep", Insomniacal Spellchecker?

Re: Users with grep rep indicators
we did NOT cover users with 0 rep points
I'll add it...
grep, although not quite what I intended in this case.

Re: Users with grep rep indicators
You should not that Martin and I found that our Gem levels were not what the system was actually using. The levels were from CG that we got. I found it out when I unexpectedly got my 7th Gem. So in case your seeing the adjustments, dont worry, they're corrected now to accurately reflect the levels at least up to 7 Gems.
Ps, was that link from your website?

Re: Users with grep rep indicators
You may want to PM Martin so he can update the Forums FAQ too.
"You should note ..."
You must be using my SpellChecker code.

Re: Users with grep rep indicators
Your code has spellos, your two Option directives are on one line
Do you know the state of the forum rep FAQ atm ? I've noticed not much of our thread made it in there so I figured it was a WIP...

Re: Users with grep rep indicators
I think maybe Brads just wanted to copy part of it to the FAQ. I dont know, maybe he was waiting for the Rep FAQ to solidify so it wouldnt need to be updated allot.
The spellos are a feature of my thread so you can see the need to use my SpellChecker.

David had almost as many as you did at some point, JPnyc has turned off his reps since the beginning, Martin also did it but then he turned it back ON, so what are you saying ???

Re: [RESOLVED] Users with grep rep indicators
Well I was referring to karthikeyan and MxPx who have the grey gem rather than the darker disabled one, as circled in my picture

Re: [RESOLVED] Users with grep rep indicators
Yes, like in the Rep FAQ there are Gray Gems and Black Gems which mean two completely different things. Gray = 0 Reps (they have received negative reps to reduce them down from 5) and Black = Disabled Reps.

Re: [RESOLVED] Users with grep rep indicators
Despite the fact that those are two different colors (honestly, I didn't realize it until now) they look almost identical so maybe "grey" should be "yellow" instead?

Re: [RESOLVED] Users with grep rep indicators
PG, you need a user title of vBulletin Guru or something like that.
I doubt that they will want tochange it since its really is only a rare occurance for a member to be on 0 Reps.

Re: [RESOLVED] Users with grep rep indicators
It works better on other forums where members start with 0 rep points, so it is easy to see who has not been repped versus who is on negative reps and who have low (positive) rep points. Here we start with 5 so you're green to start with anyway.
P.S. you just want the SpellChecker™ name exclusively

Re: [RESOLVED] Users with grep rep indicators
How about "VB/Office Guru Spellchecker™ Certified"?
Well starting with 0 Reps could possibly be an option if everyone agrees and its not hard to change (I know you know how to do it ).

Starting everyone with 0 is not a hard change; however, to change it now would cause a lot of people to ask why their little square isn't green anymore...
We took the stance that it is better to assume people are good to start with. Thus giving everyone a couple of initial positive points.
Brad!
