What kind of games do you plan on making? I am currently learning DirectX and I have been looking to make a game with it.

If you could provide a little more information, it would be helpful.

I'm not saying that i'll help, but i have two things to say:

    1. You could use my SastraxiSmooth engine if you give me credit for it. (bitmap enlarging non-jaggy engine)

    2. The C/C++s could write Dlls for use with VB so you can have the power of C with the simplicity of VB.

    Cheers,
    Sastraxi

    Pop a long to:

    http://xenon2000.members.easyspace.com/

And look at the Xenon1.jpg and Xenon2.jpg files and you will see my engine in action. I can give you full free source for it plus a small demo of a game with source to show you how to use it.

    Features -> -> ->

    Collision Detection
    Error Logging
    File Reading
    Fonts (Drawable To Screen)
    Frame Counter
    Image Loader
    Ini File Reader
    Keyboard Input
    Joystick Input
    List Box Control (Graphically Drawn)
Map Loading (Comes With A Map Editor (Not Made By Me))
    Menus (Graphically Drawn)
    Mouse Input
    Random (Function)
    Rect Class
    Point Class
    Color Class
    Scoretable (Graphically Drawn)
    Screen Class (Houses Direct X)
Sound And Music System (Mp3, Wav, Etc)
    Sprites
    Starfield Class
    Timer Class
    Vector Class

All Using Direct X -> Direct Draw
    Direct Input

    Sound Uses A Bass Library

Map Loading loads special tile maps that can be easily created with an editor that I found.

You Can Have Full Source For It (As Long As) You Mention Somewhere That Its Powered By PsyVision Software Talisman 2D Engine.
