    Internet Explorer Icon keeps changing inconsistently

    Quite a while ago I installed and uninstalled Internet Explorer 7 beta. Since then the Internet explorer icon in the quick launch task bar and in the start menu keep changing between IE6 and IE7 icons inconsistently, i.e both might be IE6 or IE7 or one IE6 another IE7 and keeps on changing, I don’t know why ! Any idea?

    When i had IE7 beta 1, i think that was one of the bugs.

    Since its a beta, you can't full except it to perform the best, beta - made to be tested for bugs like that

    Try running sfc.exe to replace and reinstall all the IE files?

    I am not using IE7, I unistalled that and that happens after.

    Right, so some DLLs may have been replaced. Try running sfc.exe so that the right DLLs are placed there.
