Setup installation looks for unrelated CD
Hi folks.
I'm having a headache installing a particular setup.exe(Setup BootStrap
for Visual Basic Setup Toolkit). When I double-click on the setup.exe,
it keeps asking me for a CD that is totally unrelated to the program that I am installing.
I believe this is because of some files being left behind when I unsuccessfully install that CD(the unrelated CD).
Anyone who is good in removing orphan Visual Basic Setup files kindly assist me.
Btw, I've tried using RegSeeker and CCleaner to clean up the registry but still the problem persists.
Thanks for the assistance.

Re: Setup installation looks for unrelated CD
From the website of http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...tuplstfile.asp
The Setup Toolkit is a project installed with Visual Basic that is used by the Package and Deployment Wizard when it creates a setup program. The Setup Toolkit project contains the forms and code that the application's setup program uses to install files onto the user's computer.
Yup, I guz it is PDW:Package and Deployment Wizard .
Any ideas how to remove the orphan files of my last unsuccessful installation?

itgalsg,
No idea. Why not just use an up-to-date installer? They do that automatically.
