    Question .ac3 to mp3 convertor?

    I want to convert the .ac3 audio files on a PS2 game into .mp3 files.

    Anyone know of an app that will do that?

    I found a few here

    I tried AC3Tool and BeSweet

    But I can't get them to work with the PS2 files

    Perhaps the PS2 audio files are none standard or not really .ac3 files

    Any more suggetions?

    I Found this. it convert dolby digital AC-3 Files to standart MP3 files by RiverPast. o dono if it will workor help.

    Well... it's new to me but from what I understand is that they are 5.1 sound files for DVDs etc.

    The ones I'm after are on Burnout for the PS2
    I can play them OK using DVD viewing software.
    I want to use the background music for something else

    I found that the other day but was put off by the 2 mins max file size for the trial version

    I will at least know if it works though....

    Nope!
    Didn't work


    The .ac3 files play fine on CyberLink PowerDVD so I presume they are a standard format...

    Audio/Video To MP3 Maker 3.0 - file type not suported

    WinXMedia DVD MPEG/AVI/Audio Converter 2.5.18b - Convert DVD to WAV, MP3,AC3 audio. didn't bother trying

    Advanced Encode Decode Tools - seems to convert but mp3 file made no sound

    Super Mp3 Converter 4.0 - same as teh first one

    Xilisoft Video to Audio Converter - created a zero size mp3 file!

    havent used it before, but found it on google.
    CSS layout comes in to the 21st century with flexbox!

    Not since I got my dvd setup. 5.1 is good enough for home use. 750 watts is enough for the apartment I have a duplicate stereo that i took out of my van.

    I really like digital audio. I wish my cable box supported it.

    you could try converting to mp3 and then checking the mp3 file with Audacity to see if it was converted correctly.

    What exectly are you trying to convert, Seemds like that sound file is corrupted in someway Advanced Encode Decode Tools converted my 50sec test sounds.

    can u attach part (like 20sec) of that sound you can't hear see if we can?
