    For some reason this always returns null....

    Code:
    invoke	CreateDialogParam, addr hAppInstance, IDD_MAIN, NULL, addr MainDialogProc, NULL
    The dialog wont show because it returns null, is there something wrong in that line.

    You need to pass the value in hAppInstance.
