setup.exe error
I create a package using visual basic 6 package wizard...it creates the package but when i run it on any other machine..such as win 98..it gives a message that the files on the system are old and needs to be updated. On clicking Yes it would update the files..and then asks to reboot the computer..how ever when i actually reboot it and run the setup again..i encounter the same problem...can any body suggest me what i am doing wrong..also i m using some crystal reports, data reports in my application..and i think it is automatically includding the dll required..

Re: setup.exe error
Kamran,
What you are doing wrong is using PDW....LOL. Search the forum for PDW Outdated and you should find the solution. Also please Read Installation Problems in my signature.

Re: setup.exe error
kamran,
There are several ways to go:
1 - Do research
2 - Guess & hope it will be ok
3 - Test
4 - Use utilities to help you
5 - Choices 1,3 & 4
You can use the Auto OS Updater (in my signature) to update MDAC/DCOM/JET components. You can use ********** to find all the dependencies that you need in your app and Inno Setup to deploy it.
