Skype audio truble

I have a problem with Skype's audio configuration. Whenever I make a call and start speaking, I can hear my own voice echoing through the speakers a fraction of a second later, which is an absolute plague. In the volume control, the only checked device is the microphone.

This problem can be cured by using headphones. I think it is caused by having the microphone too close to the speakers. Although I originally thought it was down the microhpone on the other end beingtoo sensitive and picking up the sound from their speakers

As a matter of fact, this is only happening when my sister calls. Maybe the problem is on her side, as other calls seem to present no trouble at all.

Try asking her to turn her mic down or move it further from the speakers.
