Window 2003 FTP Question

Not exactly sure if this is the appropriate section for this question. But I am trying to find out the difference between the MS-DOS and UNIX option for Directory Listing Style in the FTP properties. I am wondering if this would alter the file at all if it is set on MS-DOS and is being picked up by a UNIX server.

Unix listings generally include the attributes for each file, where DOS doesn't.
