Another hint would surely give it away...
Try thinking about it some more... Its quite easy once you notice something about the numbers.

57 repeating every couple of differences is what got me started

That and most of the differences were less than 26

Not so unbreakable now, is it? I built one that would be a hell of a lot harder, but i'm not sure if I still have it..

Well, ok, i will scramble up my Key file, and make my random numbers harder to crack, then i won't give u the files together, it should in theory be mega hard... but as it stands even my girlfriend can break it, and she insists shes dumb.. lol

Substitution cyphers are always a doddle to crack, you can easily write a program to do it.

You suck at writing unbreakable codes

Wossy, what was the point of uploading a password protected Zip ?
I now have to brute-force it just to get your god damned file.

The payoff of your several weeks of brute forcing will definitely be worth it, to learn the secrets of my amazing file.

Re: Crack this coded file, i bet you can't.

    VB Code:
    1. Module Module1
    2.
    3.     Sub Main()
    4.         Dim sr As New IO.StreamReader("C:\CODE.TXT")
    5.         Dim line As String
    6.         Dim val1, val2, val3 As Integer
    7.
    8.         Do
    9.             line = sr.ReadLine
    10.             If line <> Nothing Then
    11.                 val1 = Convert.ToInt32(line.Split("-"c)(0))
    12.                 val2 = Convert.ToInt32(line.Split("-"c)(1))
    13.                 val3 = Convert.ToInt32(line.Split("-"c)(2))
    14.                 Console.Write(Chr((val2 \ val3) - val1))
    15.             End If
    16.         Loop Until line Is Nothing
    17.     End Sub
    18.
    19. End Module

LOL. I find it funny that within 7 posts the first basic one was cracked. Then within 1 post, the second one was cracked.

Re: Crack this coded file, i bet you can't.

Hey, this could be a fun nerd game. You crack it, you post the next one. I'll go first.

Here's a slightly different take on an old classic.

    Code:
    73
    117
    112
    106
    123
    101
    119
    120
    40
    52
    33
    79
    112
    118
    37
    124
    119
    37
    116
    114
    122
    107
    112
    39
    100
    103
    121
    103
    122
    41
    103
    114
    114
    33
    104
    109
    72
    The decryption key is 88.10
