Re: New to Crystal Reports - Help Needed!!!
In short Crystal Reports is a very powerful reporting tool that can connect to almost any data source and sort, group, total, etc. information. It can connect to any ODBC compliant database, event logs, Exchange server, Active Directory, etc.
When I talk with customers about reporting, I explain to them that if they input the data into their application and it is stored in the DB, that I can pull it out and manipulate it and show it to them in a report any way they want.
PS - It does charting and cross-tabs, too.

It is sophisticated, but not intutitive. You will find it to be a very powerful reporting tool that will take some time to get used to.
It is also fairly expensive.

Re: New to Crystal Reports - Help Needed!!!
I have found that people who see the output from Crystal love it most of the time. The people who have to program Crystal to get to that output tend to hate it (at least not to love it). I am one of the ones who hate it but it is the best available.
Sometimes the Programmer
Sometimes the DBA

Re: New to Crystal Reports - Help Needed!!!
is it that CR can only work on .NET and Java?
because on the business objects website they seems to be talking about these two alone and i need to know how to use it in VB6.
