produce the specification for interface!!
here got one Questino that i cant understand what the question want...can anyone point out the key point to me?
Qs:
using WSDL/XML or other suitable standard for web based interface specification, produce the specification for interface to support the "view personal portfolio' customer action. explain briefly how this interface will be implemented, for exampel using SOAP, and identify any benefits or issues that may arise from chosen implementation.
what is web based interface specification mean?

To me it sounds like you are being asked to write specs on the development of a Home page for a web site.

Specifications.
The more you deal with writing, following, and coding to program specifications the more you will find yourself simply referring to them as specs.

my understanding of this Qs is like this:
programming language like XML, ASP.Net and etc......that work with SOAP to implements the web..............my idea correct?

I can't say for certain it is correct, but based on your first post in this thread, I'd say yes, it certainly sounds correct.

And it appears that they insist you use a web service for this purpose, so half your question has been answered.
