Make <Project>.exe menu item is disabled in VB (was enabled before!)
For some reason, the menu item "File > Make <Project>.exe" randomly became disabled yesterday. I have the right version of VB for it to be enabled and it was enabled up until yesterday.
I racked my brain for things that I changed around the time that it happened. Here is a list of what I could think of.
* A had registered a vbAccelerator OCX (ListView) a few minutes earlier
* I had just added the ListView control to my program
* A Windows Automatic Update had been automatically installed a day or 2 prior.
* I MIGHT have messed with the menu items earlier (using "Customize...") but I don't think so
* I attempted to delete MSXML4 and got an error saying it was write protected (I was testing to see why my Inno installer couldn't install that file)
The weridest part is that it had worked only a couple hours prior and I hadn't even restarted VB or the computer between the time that I think it was working and when I noticided it was no longer enabled. The only other think I did in that time period was open a sample project for the vbAcc ListView control.
Also, I checked under my restore points and there are 2 weird entries for the 15th and 16th of this month that say "Software Distribution Service 2.0"
If you guys can't think of anything I will try to restore the computer to one of those points.
Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?
