    Portable Development

I have been spending a lot of time on trains recently and thought that I could utilise the time by doing a spot of programming.
I don't want to use a Notebook because of the size.
Has anyone tried writing code on a PDA?
    Are the screens big enough?
Can you get C++ compilers and IDEs for them?

As you can probably tell I haven't done a huge amount of research into this yet.
I was hoping someone here already had some experience in this and could give me an opinion

    Re: Portable Development

I used to have a PDA for work, and one thing I can say for sure... you don't want to be writing code on them! The input systems are very clever, but it's still too easy to make typo's (especially while travelling).

You need to be using a real keyboard, which admittedly you can get for PDA's, but there are lots of very small notebooks these days - which I would say would be the better option.

You can get a few compilers for PDA's, but I've got no idea what the capabilities are, or what the quality is like. Note that Windows for PDA's is very different to normal Windows.
