Category Ordering
Hi,
If possible, please put the CodeBank forums below the Other Language forums. Doing so should prevent newbies from posting their C/C++ questions in the code bank.

Re: Category Ordering
I dont think reordering will keep members from misposting their threads. No matter what there will always be misposted threads no matter what the order is.

Re: Category Ordering
I have to agree with CB here. People stop looking down the list when they suddenly see C++ or Java or what ever. So a rearrange would be better.
Of course people might still misunderstand or post in the wrong browser window/tab. But I believe there will be less misunderstandings with a rearrange. Good idea Mr. CB

Bumping this. Two more posts in code bank that I believe are from first-time posters.

Correct. One member had one post and the other had two.

Re: Category Ordering
If a category re-order cannot be done then perhaps a better desciption is possible? One that is not so misleading

What do you find misleading about the descriptions?

Re: Category Ordering
This is part of UI design. We're all impatient, and when we come to this site for the first time, we'll start scrolling down. You'll notice that the 'section' titles are small, white, and have a blue-gray background. Nothing contrasts here, so we don't see it as we scroll down. We don't even read the descriptions. So changing descriptions won't help. The only things visible to us are the forum titles.
Therefore, CB is correct in saying that there will be fewer OOPPs (Out Of Place Posts) if that section were moved.
